Latoya Richards became an attorney-at-law in 2008 after completing her course of studies at the University of the West Indies and Hugh Wooding Law School. She is the holder of an MBA (International Finance) with distinction from the UWI-Arthur Lok Jack Global School of Business where she graduated with the Top Student and Executive Director awards. Additionally, Ms. Richards was the recipient of the De La Rue Scholarship (Finance) 2014 from the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.

Latoya Richards has work experience in the areas of law, finance, international trade and investment and business. Her work experience also spans the United States of America and the United Kingdom markets. She has both local public and private sector experience in addition to having worked for a foreign government.

Latoya Richards is a patriot and believes in giving back to Trinidad and Tobago especially in times of disaster and as a result she is a certified and registered Shelter Manager with the Office of Disaster Preparedness and Management in addition to being CERT trained with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
